Homeless Service Provider’s Network COVID-19 Relief Fund
Among the wide swath of individuals and families most impacted by the prevalence of the COVID-19 virus within New Bedford, those whose vulnerability is further complicated due to the recent loss of, or immediate possibility of losing, their housing present unique needs and challenges for which flexible financial resources are limited.
Recognizing this, the Executive Committee of the City’s Homeless Service Provider’s Network (HSPN), has voted to authorize the expenditure of funds through its Rise Up for Homes arm to provide emergency, immediate financial assistance through the COVID-19 New Bedford Homeless Prevention Project.
HSPN member agencies are able to request funding that is intended for the purpose of providing the agency with discretionary income to use on behalf of an individual, family or effort (such as resources needed to serve those unsheltered) as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
